Cancer Types: Head and Neck Cancer

Cancer located anywhere in/near the mouth, nose, lymph nodes, throat and such is all characterized as head and neck cancer.  Most head and neck cancers are squamous cell carcinomas (SCC). SCC is an uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells arising from the squamous cells in the epidermis, the skin’s outermost layer.
